Using Myspace to get traffic to your Website or Blog

As we all know social networking is a very key part to increasing readership and traffic to your blog and one of the biggest sites currently is Myspace. My space has as many people online as little Singapore has people…It’s a advertisers goldmine and many people become famous and rich though Myspace alone.

So if you’re a small Business person or an average Joe Blog who wants there website to be noticed, Myspace is prefect. Many Multi National Companies (MNC) now use Myspace to advertise their products and you can too, only in a different way too them. Typically MNC’s will spend money on advertisements whereas us need to network with people to be seen and spread by word of mouth.


So we now understand we need to network but who do we need network with? This is important as you could be chasing the wrong people. You need to target within your niche or business. You need quality traffic and not just any traffic, therefore networking with the right people is key to your success.

This is where you need spend some time to research your niche and find the people who are in the same circle as you, finding the people who have large network are very influential and they should be your first targets to leverage there network.

So now we understand we need to network and find influential people within your niche.

So next question is where to find them within Myspace?

  • First log in into your Myspace account.
  • Click on the group tab, where you find groups by categories.
  • From here you will find the relevant sub category.
  • Again within the sub categories you will find more sub groups which will be listed which are more relevant.
  • Now spend some time to look though these groups and find the people who you believe can influence your traffic.
  • Now click on the join Group button.

This is where you begin you networking journey, you can post your views and add your comments with a link back to your site. You may want start blogging and put content for all to see which will lead to people understanding your website. You have just probably started the best advertising campaign that costs ZERO dollars to do.
