Blog Statistics

Traffic

Just over 3,577 absolute unique visits for the month of January compared to 6,857 for the same period in December, my total visits dropped from 4,095 in January compared to 7,855 for December. Both traffic trends were down which is mainly due to my 5 day holiday and the down time of about 1 week when my computer had problems but will work to push my figures beyond my December figures.

Traffic Sources

My traffic sources have improved over this month with a more balanced spread than the previous month, Referring sites was reduced from 85% to 73%, direct traffic had little change with 11% traffic, but my search engine traffic increased from 7% to 15% with a 25% increase in the number of search results. As my last month goal was to increase my search engine traffic it was encouraging to have this improvement and having a more balanced spread is more healthier for my site.

Cashcrate: awaiting first payout

My adsense earning had more than doubled and advertising revenue was good but lack of articles to write for smorty etc reduced my overall earning.

Conclusions

This month lost a little blog momentum due to a short holiday and break down of computer for one week, had some success from my earnings in Adsense, but overall my earnings was reduced due to lack of articles to write in Smorty. Received a payment in Emailcashpro and coming close to a payment in Cashcrate.

Search engine results were up by 25% and this helped balance out my traffic sources more which is good for my blog.
