Summary for March

March passed a few days ago and it’s that time when I analysis my performance to keep check my progress against my February statistics and long term goals. It’s been a busy time for me online as I have started explaining my websites. Currently I have 4 other blogs called ScubaGearReview, Dive-n-log, Wheelchairs and my latest that i just started called Online Aquarium Shop so my times been a little split between development and maintaining this blog.

Summary of March posts.

My most popular post for March was Internal Linking increase traffic, where I discuss by adding internal links to your posts we tell search engines that the page you linked too is worthy of a mention and is considered important, and on people level we draw people into our blog.

Traffic

My February figures shown I received 3,521 absolute unique visits and 4,242 visitors and now my March figures are less with 2,076 absolute unique visits and 2,588 visitors. Still lower than my previous month so this is one area i need to improve.

My traffic sources has overall reduced but the percentages have improved, my referring sites has reduced to 53% which is down by 13% and stumbleupon makes up most of this traffic.

My search engine traffic has improved again and now makes up of 29% of my total traffic which is an increase of 10%.

My direct traffic has increased to 16% and his is people who go direct to my site from a bookmark or by typing my URL in.

This area is encouraging and glad see my search engine traffic is still increasing monthly, as I submitted my sitemap to Google and added a visual sitemap these factors would help top.

Stumbleupon makes up the bulk of my traffic with a 47% share of my traffic, which is lower than the 67% of my top ten traffic, would like this to be smaller but it’s a good sign, but overall traffic needs to be increased.

M investment still had over 300% more traffic than any other keyword search, looks like people still looking at the site even after closing months ago.

My adsense earning again increased and advertising was ok, still able to cover my blogs expenses.

Conclusion

General dip in my overall traffic, better balance of incoming traffci with my search engine increasing once again. Achievement or targets slightly better with 2 out of the 6 passing.
