Do You Reward your Fellow Bloggers?

Source:BBC
I do reward my fellow bloggers, I fact I believe we all do to some extent. Of course we all want be the best blog in the world, we all wanted to be the next Darren Rowse, John Chow or even Jeremy Schoemaker. So we tend to work hard to fight against each other on things like Page Rank, Alexa, RSS feed readers or even money made online.Be honest at times I do too, but over the last few months I have been thinking more that the other bloggers are actually friends who just enjoy blogging, so I have been looking at how I can reward others bloggers.
External Links within your blog
Bloggers really appreciate a friendly External Link, it’s a good way to knowledge your fellow blogger that their content is worthy. When you are writing about a particular topic, generally there is many articles that have written about this topic before. Some maybe have influenced you so too mention them in your article is rewarding them.
Another good method would be my weekend love links this is where I reward other bloggers for leaving a comment on my blog, or Courtney Tuttle’s YouBlog award is an another alternative.
Blogroll
Additional to external links would be a blog roll, here is were you should reward bloggers for consistent quality content, I don’t like the idea of paying for having your name in the any blogroll or just adding the big bloggers for the sake of it.
Stumble, Digg, Sphinn , and more
If you find a great post which you feel others could benefit then by all means Stumble it, Digg it, Sphinn it or what ever else you like to use. This will give the additional exposure that the blogger deserves and if it truely is worthy will hit the front page.
Donation Buttons
Many blogs have them, whether they show “buy me a beer, star bucks or like mine oxygen for my scuba diving” they have become very popular and when I received the odd dollar I feel very satisfied with a job well done .
This can be an easy way to reward any blogger directly for their effort. You can reward from any thing from $1 and up, they are very popular for people who create widgets for free. So drop the old dollar into your next bloggers tip jar.
Affiliate Programs
Many sites have them, and most likely you will join them if everyone is talking about it, and instead going directly to the main site and signing up directly why not go to a fellow bloggers site and sign under them, at least then they receive the referral fee or reward.
Sites like TTZ Media, Amazon, and many more.
Conclusion
We all like to measure ourselves against others it’s our human nature but try using them as a benchmark only and not your competitor, and always remember everyone appreciates being told they did a good job, so the next time you find a bloggers post or blog that deserves the reward, try one of the above points as a sign of your appreciation.
“It only takes 5 minutes of your day and it could make another bloggers day.”
