For the last few weeks I have noticed a single line strip ad on the top of many peoples blogs, its has been created by MaxBlogPress. The WordPress plugin is called MaxBlogPress Stripe Ads, which is a new form of non-intrusive way of displaying a single line of advertising message, a special note or other information right at the top of your blog, just like this:
Installation is the usual simple WordPress way, just download the plugin, unzip, upload to your WordPress Plugin folder and activate. The options can be found on the control panel under options tab.
Once on the options page you can set up the ads:
Here you set the title, link and the weight. The weight defines the ads importance, the more weight the more the ad will be displayed compared to the others. Now repeat this until you have as many ads as you require.
Other options in basic set up are
Float on top of the page: By checking this the ad stripe will float as you scroll down and always be at the top of the page.
Hide close button: Stops your readers from being able to close the ad stripe.
Disable MaxBlogPress Stripe Ad: Completely removes all ads from the blog
In the advanced options for MaxBlogPress Stripe Ad offers really good control over the ads. There are options to set the front style, size and colour. You can also control the background and border colours. Extra options include how many time you wish the ads to show up on your blog and an option to add your Clickbank ID as MaxBlogPress has it’s own affiliate program.
This plugin is good for bloggers who are looking for new avenues for advertising or grabbing peoples attention for important posts etc.</p>
