At the Macworld expo that opened on Tuesday, Apple chief Steve Jobs walked onto the stage with a brown envelope that we all use for our internal post at work, after which he slid the ultra-slim MacBook Air notebook out from the envelope to a huge cheer.
Apple went out to look at the slim style laptops and went about creating the slimmest and lightest, the slim and lean MacBook Air is a wedge shaped measuring0.16 inches( 0.4cm) at the front and 0.76 inches ( 1.9cm) at the back, this is thin and was achievable with the help of Intel who shrank there fast dual core processor by 60 percent so Apple can fit the power inside the MacBook Air.
Macintosh computer sales have surged in recent times due to what people call the Halo affect from the companiees trendy iPod and iPhone models. With this new MacBook Air they could kick start a new era in the market for light and slim computers.

- 1.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor with 4MB L2 cache
- 800MHz front-side bus
- 2GB of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
- 80GHz hard drive with Sudden Monitor Sensor
- Price US $1,799 and starts shipping in two weeks
My personal thought is you will need a lot of accessories to add on as there can’t be much inside and little expensive but does look damn cool and if weight is key then this would be for you.
