Previously I talked about MyBlogLog as a means of gaining additional traffic and it’s worked for me, but there a time when it will slow down unless you put more hours in. So I feel trying different avenues will make the most improvement with the least effort and time.
So I will like to bring to your attention about article writing and probably the biggest article site around called ezinearticle.
Ezine Articles allows bloggers/writers to publish their articles with a special box at the bottom called a resource box which will allow you to write a small sentence or two about yourself with a link. If other Bloggers want to reproduce your article they will have to add the resource box to give you the necessary credit for the article.
From your own point is that you are increasing your exposure by having your content reproduced on the net and you get the reward of the one way link back to your site and you may gain a regular reader or two from it too.
The idea from the writer’s point of view is that you can increase your exposure by having your content reproduced around the Internet. Your are rewarded with one-way incoming links from the resource box, you don’t have to reciprocate as you would with link exchanges, which in theory should reward you with better search engine rankings.
There is a flip side too it, if your getting writers block and struggle to keep your blog going then its an easy way to use free content but remember to use the resource box to give the credit to the writer.
My experiment so far is limited as I have submitted two articles which were approved and have had a total of 44 views which is not much, I will be aiming for 10-15 articles where I be given platinum status and by then I be able to judge the true effects of the ezinearticles.
Important is to have a good title and well written introduction as these will get the readers to view your article and too keep an article short as people get bored before reading your resource box. Get your article right the first time as your article appears on the front page for a limited time before newer articles come along.
I believe that ezinearticle will only improve the traffic to your site and I will see the improvements over the fore coming weeks as I submit more articles
