The second step is too creating your website according to the guideline set by the search engines. Using this step will allow the search engine spiders of the many search engines easier navigate your site.

Step 3 – Link Popularity

Step 3 involves link popularity, which basically means the more sites that link to your website via the other persons site, typically the more links to your site via other sites this will increase your search engine ranking. You can make your site popular by doing forum posts, submitting blog comments, and submitting articles to article directories, etc..

Step 4 – Free Web Directories

Submission of your site to free web directories, by submitting your URL to these sites will increase your back links to your site and hence increase search engine ranking. This will also help to increase the viewers or readers to your site.

Step 4.5 – Paid Directories

This step is like step 4, but as you guessed you will need to pay for it, Google places added value to any directories you link to which will increase your ranking, so research for directories that Google favour.
