Writing attention grabbing titles are key to grabbing people attention and making them to read an article, whether your viewers on your site or your using stumbleupon. A title can make a difference between 10 or 1000 viewers.

People can often wonder why their article was so successful when another one never took off, and a safe bet could have been the title. I have experienced this myself when I stumbled an article and its gone though the roof. I managed to hit 1200 hits and its still giving my good traffic everyday now, and I believe its all within the title.

Here’s a list of different ways to write titles which will help you achieve higher hits.

How I…

The classic “How I…” headline is widely used and it’s a way of showing people that it really works by telling them it worked for you, and it adds the personnel touch. It helps your viewers believe they can achieve what you did

Example:
How I made $1000 per day from adsense

How To…

A “How To..” is an effective way to tell your readers how to improve the situation their in now, whether your telling a how to get out of debt or how to enjoy your life more ,etc

Example:
How to get more out of your life!

Ways To…

The “Ways To…” this type of headline will tell them certain ways to improve their blog or site, by giving them numbers people feel they will have to complete the tasks you have listed down, and by adding a word like simple in the title, your readers will feel they can really do what you write about.

Example:

“10 ways to improve your readership”

Tips to…

Much like “ways to” but not spoken in a strong way, your readers will believe you are helping them on a more personnel level to help improve their blog or website. This worked well for one of my posts…

Example:

StumbleUpon- Simple Tips to Increased Traffic

What If…

The “What If…” headline will make readers think of your wildest dreams if money was no object…Classic one is “what if you was a millionaire?”

Example:
What If You Could retire in a years time?

Tutorial Post…
This type post is a detailed step by step How to tutorial, this type post works well for the person who does not want think so much and use follow…

Example:

“A simple step by step guide to making your first $100 online”

Make Money…

The world famous “ Make money “ headline, this will grab attention of most readers as we all want to make money or make more money.

Example:
How To Make Money while you sleep

This list is not exhausted and there’s many other ways to use a headline to grab peoples attention, if you have any suggestions please leave a comment.
