Building Backlinks to your Site

Previously I spoke about backlinks and submitting to directories, and explained that backlinks are incoming links to your site from other sites and how having more backlinks will benefit your traffic as well as your Google PageRank.
Remember your Anchor Text
Try using anchor text that will be used by others when they use search engines, a relevant anchor text for which I like to use for my site would be Blogging tips. Search engines pick up links and the more they find the anchor text with blogging the higher the ranking on the search engines. This will apply to any other anchor text too.
Tips to obtain more Backlinks?
There are many ways to obtain backlinks and here is a few:
1. Write Articles
Submitting your articles to articles directory such as EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com, Web Pro News, Site Reference, Article Dashboard to name a few, Many other publishers will go to these sites and reprint them on their site, which of course will give you an extra backlink too.
2. Submit to Directories
Will not touch here as my other post called 50 directories to submit your site too will go into more detail.
3. Web 2.0 Social Networking Sites
Web 2.0 social networking sites are good source to build quality backlinks and search engine likes them. This isn’t very difficult to do and many of the backlinks you can build there are quality one way link (no reciprocal link required), which carries more weight with search engines.
4. Forums
Find a forum that is relevant, fill in your profile including a picture and your website,etc and start chatting with other members don’t promote your site from day one but slowly build you your network, Dailymoolah has a list of forums and there relevant PageRank.
5. Buy text links
Buying text links is the one of the easiest ways to get backlinks and they are one ways links which is always the best. However, Google doesn’t like the sale of links and they will penalize you for the purchase of links but still is a very popular form of backlinks.
