Blogging Bumps…

This weekend was a worrying one for myself, I am not by all means an expert with computer’s but all of a sudden on Sunday when I opened Yeepage homepage I was redirected to some search engine. Having a thought of the worse I had assumed that someone had entered my blog and redirected all my readers to their domain.

So I studied slowly the load up of my site and found every time it got to loading advertlets widget it suddenly was redirected to some search engine. So I started to remove the javascript for advertlets and found that all things appeared well.

Be honest I would not thought too much of it as we all have little bumps but today ColinKing contacted me regarding an entrecard advertisement and mentioned unable access my blog, he mentioned that he had a similar problem too but does not use Advertlets.

So firstly I like apoliges for all the people who got sent around the world on the redirect and I like to ask everyone a question today is… did anyone else have this problem and they know what was the reason or cause for this glitch? or was it just me and Colin?

On another note regarding issues with blogs, Betshopboy is back after this two weeks of hell with this reseller for the hosting of this site, he seems to of lost his blog but with some help he is back and with a new hosting and can’t wait to clear his head of his blogging frustrations.

I don’t use Advertlets so I don’t know what happened. But for what you say I would not just stop at this post, go for a big complain over that sucking ad code. They might be cheating people and deface the blogs that show the widget so to steal 100% of the site’s traffic.

BTW, Yeepage, what happened to your DoFollow Plugin? How come all the comment links start to have nofollow?

Next time you have something like this, send me email.. I may have been available to help you debug this from my site(s).

Sounds like it was a DNS issue; the question is who was affected by it. So if I could reach your blog while you could not, that would mean YOUR DNS was confused but not mine.

      See my http://aplawrence.com/Unixart/dns_troubleshooting.html

I had the same problem last weekend. Think it was Saturday morning that I noticed the huge search page loading above the header of my blog. I had the same thought that someone may have gained entry to my cPanel or sorts and immediately went forth to change my login passwords.

After I did that, I did a line by line scrutiny of my
