Backing up your Blog

All you people reading my blog back up your computer files? I believe most people do. So now how many other Bloggers backup there blog? Be honest until recently I had never too. I have read peoples horrifying stories of how they lost their blog and looking for help to retrieve.
Could you image if you been blogging for 2 years and posted 500 posts and it is gone? Everybody’s posts are different and unique so we need to backup our posts to ensure we don’t lose our data if the web server crashes. I have found this free web service called BlogBackupOnline which I would like to call our insurance policy for our blog.
BlogBackupOnline is a application that will back up your blog including jpeg, gif files etc. Signup Is simple and after your registration they will maintain your blog with daily backups so theres no worries on your side in future
Getting Started
Simple form to be filled out and an email will be sent to your email to verify your status
Full Backup
After completing the registration of your blog you are ready to do your first full backup which is important but is a manual request by yourself, times for this process will vary and will depend on quantity of posts and may take up to 2 hours for the first time.
Daily Backups
After the first Full Back up, BlogBackupOnline will do the rest. Daily backups will continue and are automated and will save any amendments or new posts/comments , so you will be ensured at worst case losing only one days data.
Restoring Blogs
After you have full backed up your blog it can be restored to the same blog location or you can even send it too another blog platform, Current max storage is 50Mb and from what I see most blogs should be with this limit. My total backup for my site is around 1MB and I have around 150 posts , so you can see the storage is very big.
Now that my sites backed up I don’t need to worry and can sleep easy at night, Can You? Not often you can get free insurance but using this free web application there’s nothing to lose.

For information, those using blogger, you can save your template easily by going to “Template”, “Edit HTML”, “Download Full Template”.
But I guess is just the template files and not the entire blog.
Hope this comment is useful
