Most of us receive low paying clicks and well all assume that Google pays has a low Pay Per Click (PPC), generally its not true. We need to try out some adsense tips and you will find an increase in your overall revenue.
Here is some tips that you use:
- Dont over load your site with 3 Google adsense boxes, 3 link ads and a search box in the hope to earn more money. This will scare your vistors away and they will become ad blind and youwillget a low CPM rate too due to the large quantity of adson the page.
- Try avoid locating two ads units together as you generally will not returning visitors, if you place two ads units like a 250×250 and the same again will not increase your revenue much and will make visitors stay away from your site.
- Use Adsblacklist.com or equivalent site, this will help remove the Made For Adsense (MFA) sites from your rotation, this tool is excelcent to remove the low paying ads and replace with better higher paying ads.
- Lower the number of ads on your site, google adsense tries to show the best and better preforming ads and this will help by giving you more higher paying ads with the reduced alloted ads available.
- Replace your current google adsense search box with the latest Google custom search box, this could lead to more searches as the Google Watermark is within the search box and visitors can’t indentity this as much as the old one as a paid search box.
- If you add adsense ads in your side bar, then add them in your left side column rather than the right side as its been experimented and proven to have a better Click-Though-Rate (CTR). Click here for the Best location for adsense ads.
- Create Channels for every ad unit you add on your site and check out the performce based on the revenue, CTR etc and compare them, You can remove the low performing ones or try to blend them to make sure they perform well in future. Click here for best preforming adsense size
- Image ads generally pay less and cover the whole ads unit, when you compare to text ads which generally have a bigger ads option and more rotations with the ad unit. You can try both methods and see the results for yourself.
- Implement Section Targetting which
can help you to get more relevant adverts on your website/blog based on a certain section of content. - Try changing your adsense ads colors every month or so in order to give your regular visitors a new look and feeling and this may make your regular visitors click your ads too.
I have given ten adsense PPC tips to help you increase your revenue and by no means this is not the end, if you have any other tips that we could use please share them in my comments section.

Thanks for those great Tips. I’m looking toward to fix my site to get better CTR and EPC.
On 22/Sep I noticed a strange 20% CTR and very high EPC. But everyday is reduced and now only 4% CTR and low EPC.
Maybe because of my recent change in layout?

I hadn’t heard about #3 before, that is very cool.
I have been meaning to go in and set up some filters for some time now, but haven’t got around to it. My purpose isn’t really focused on cost, but is more to help get adds that are more relevant to my audience. I get several adds that are quasi-relevant to my content, but are not relevant to my audience. I look forward to checking this out.

Hey thanks for these Ad Sense tips. I have heard that Google will not pay for smaller sites even though we get large number of visitors and earnings through PPC campaign. Is it true?
