Insight to what goes on in a bloggers mind (well in mine anyhow)
Guess this will be my a nature close to my two posts on addiction and today will give you a better idea of what’s goes on in a bloggers mind. You all know i am addicted to blogging and that I am reformed addict for looking into blog statistics, so today I let you into my brain on what goes on when I blog. Here a few thoughts that I prompt myself when I blog.
To publish or not to publish?
That is the question… right up to the last minute I will wonder whether I should publish the article or change it completely or maybe even keep it for a later date, so I am learning now to focus and complete the article and publish by the same time everyday.
But at times I will have the odd draft floating in the control panel waiting to be modified or published at a later date.

How often you check your statistics?
When I started blogging I early this year I would check my statistics daily ,infact more than once a day until I got too obsessed with them I hardly spent time doing research into posts. I just loved watching my numbers grow form 10 to 20 to 100 and so on and would just watch them go throughout the day then I would login at the end of the day to see the final day’s total.I could quick easily spend 30mins to one hour everyday which added up to over 15 hours or maybe closer to 25 hours a month watching numbers.
We all understand that studying the numbers is good as it will gauge your progress and activity on your site but we need do it correctly and not obsessively. Try developing your own schedule when you will check statistics and stick with it and not sneak the odd look here or there in between. Studying carefully what you want look at and don’t blindly look at all statistics as must mean nothing to you.

Should we leave the subscription to comments unchecked
The “Subscribe to Comments” Wordpress plugin allows readers to subscribe to a certain post’s comments section, therefore when other leave comments the plugin will send an email updates to the subscriber whenever a new comment on the post. This becomes a useful plugin as it fosters a sense of community within your blog where people can feed on each others comment and thoughts.
This is the straight forward part of this plugin. , The difficult part comes down to the options that comes with the plugin, as the author of the blog as the option to switch on the plugin default to “Notify me of follow up comments via email”which means the commentator has to switch it off else they will receive the email automatically.

11th edition of weekend links
First i like mention my 1st dreaded blog contest, as you all well know its a comment contest where the 200th, or 300th etc will win the $$ prize depending on the final figure of comments. There also a part two, where for 100 words and two links you will be entered into the random draw to earn an extra $40 ( see post for more details).
This is where you all should have a look( wink wink), as the odds are currently very attractive so theres a good chance of winning this part of the prize. So please spend 15mins and write the small post on your site about me and the contest.
Ok back to my love links, today is the 11th edition of my weekend links, and again its my turn to thank the people who have contributed to my blog in the way of commenting. I will do this by returning a link and an interesting post from their site, so if you like see your name up on my screen you know what you did right.

8 Effective Ways to Optimize Wordpress for Search Engines and Traffic
1. Write Catchy Titles and optimize Permalinks
By using catchy titles it will attract readers to view your articles, so write a headline to attract there attention as it is the difference to make or break your popularity of the article, so plan it wisely.
Second thing to do is optimize your permalink which I have explained in an earlier article, but basically it’s to use the title within the permalink and not the post number
i.e. http://yeepage.com/ ?p=100
Instead an optimized Permalink will look like this:
