Promoting your blog on BlogCatalog

Since I joined MyBlogLog I have had relative success and have reached over 1300 profile views and 96 members joined my community, so it’s about time that I should look closely at building up my BlogCatalog profile too.

Blog Catalog members use the sites forums for features such as trading their blog links, reviewing one another, commenting on each others blogs, and just generally having good all around discussions on all aspects on blogging.

What does your site look like on other browsers?

I just had the awful experience the a few days ago when my friend called me and asked me look at my blog home page on IE, and I was shocked to find out that my page was misaligned until my 2nd and 3rd column had disappeared underneath my contents column( 1st column). All content was still viewable but it’s looked horrible.As you may know that all web browsers behave slightly different from one another, and I have always used Firefox without any issues, so naturally I would check my page there only but never again…

One Blogging Mistake That I Still Tend to Make

We all should learn from our mistakes, like bringing your children to the toy store to just look around, and you end up buying new toys for them and later you always say never again…But I am proud to say with blogging I seem to learn easier, I have made my share of blogging mistakes trust me but I seem to learn from it and not repeat them, however I do seem to make this mistake more than others.

I’ve read on many peoples blogs that consistency is best for posting articles as this trains them to come back daily for the latest update. But as with all people we go though the busy times with work, family and other things and as I don’t like letting down my readers so I am staying up very late to complete my daily article, which at times makes it less fun than it should be. Swypefile- The Next Big Social Site with Monetizing

Heard of Swypefile before? Be honest I had not until Betshopboy introduced it too me, at first I was not too impressed as it’s a good clone of bloggingZoom, but there’s a big difference that its monetized.

That’s right it’s a social network site which you can actually earn money from, but before we go into all that we need see if the network side of the site is good. 

Looking at it, it works in the same way as Digg where you can vote and bury articles at your discretion, you can submit your chosen articles with tags and a short blurb. The blurb does come in very important as that’s the part where your Google  advert will generate from so write it carefully and use good keywords. 

The big plus unlike Digg is the large quantity of categories available (total 21) therefore looking for good articles related to your subject is a lot easier than before.

Why use  Swypefile over other sites? 

Simply put…. Money

Except for the usual exposure for your site and earning related to that you can earn two other ways: 

When you set up your profile add your Adsense pub id and Google ads will be generated and linked to your Google account. Therefore any clicks will be earned directly to your Adsense account. 

The best part is you can submit other peoples content and you will still earn in the same way. So look at your favorite bloggers work and submit to earn from them. 

Swypefile referral program earns money by showing Google ads with YOUR AdSense publisher ID at least 50% of the time on all pages containing content submitted by ALL of your referrals!
